Empowering Youth through HIV Prevention and Behavioural Change

Through our flagship project as an implementing partner to PEPFAR, we are expanding critical HIV prevention and behavioural change education for children, youth, and adolescents aged 10 to 17 in the City of Johannesburg. With a focus on both primary and secondary schools, we aim to reach over 7,200 learners in underserved communities with programs designed to build awareness, promote healthy behaviours, and empower young people to make informed choices about their health and futures.

Our mission is to cultivate a culture of understanding, resilience, and action within our youth, reinforcing the foundation for safer, healthier communities. As we continue our work, we strive to ensure each learner not only gains knowledge but feels empowered to apply it within their lives.

#EmpowerHer

Our #EmpowerHer initiative addresses Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for adolescent girls, offering vital education on topics such as reproductive health, consent, and access to health resources. Through #EmpowerHer, we are committed to creating an environment where young girls feel supported, informed, and confident in making decisions about their health and future. We recognise that access to sexual and reproductive health information is a fundamental right and a cornerstone in achieving gender equality. In partnership with local health resources, #EmpowerHer ensures that girls can access counselling, contraceptives, and other essential services easily and safely.
