Advocacy and Campaigns
At the B.E.A.R Foundation, we believe that advocacy is the key to sustainable transformation. Our Advocacy and Campaigns pillar is dedicated to creating safer schools, promoting gender equality, and empowering young learners to become changemakers in their communities.
Our Focus Areas:
School Safety
We collaborate with schools, parents, and community stakeholders to implement and strengthen school safety programmes. By equipping safety committees and afterschool initiatives with practical tools and training, we ensure that schools are secure spaces for all learners.
Gender Equality and Girls’ Education
Education is a fundamental right, and we advocate for equal opportunities for girls to learn, lead, and thrive. Through awareness campaigns and capacity-building, we address gender-based barriers that hinder access to education and promote inclusive learning environments.
Climate Change and Environmental Awareness Campaigns
Recognizing the power of youth voices, we train learners to lead campaigns on climate change and environmental justice. Our programmes focus on crafting impactful messaging to inspire action in their schools and communities.
Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention
By equipping learners with skills and knowledge to challenge harmful norms, we amplify their voices as advocates for GBV prevention and gender equality in their communities.
Our Approach:
We empower learners as changemakers by conducting leadership and advocacy training. Providing resources and mentorship for running impactful campaigns. Building networks that amplify youth-led initiatives.
Expected Outcomes:
- Liberated young people equipped with the tools to advocate for change and to build resilient communities.
- Reduced violence and enhanced well-being for learners in schools.
- Increased access to education for girls and dismantling of societal barriers.
- Greater youth-driven awareness and action on climate change and environmental awareness.
